• Demos, EPs, LPs - Have a full band with seven different instruments? No problem. We’ll make them all sound great. Are you a solo singer/song writer that maybe has a couple pieces of the puzzle, but not all? No worries. We can fill in all the blanks and make your song full. Doesn’t matter if it’s drums, bass, guitar; we can do it. And if we can’t? Don’t worry. Memphis has a lot of talent and we don’t have to travel far to find someone to do the damn thing. We won’t let it be anything less than excellent.

• Beats - Get a recipe from the Beat Chef himself. DrewBeats travels the country with his own music, but you can find him at home here in the studio at Station 8 Productions still making it happen. Drew has collaborated and helped develop musicians all over Memphis and beyond, all the while continuing to keep his vault of beats healthy. Maybe there’s a flavor in there for you.

• Mixing & Mastering - While every song we make with you here at Station 8 includes a mix/master unless otherwise specified, sometimes we have artists that have the raw tracks and just want another set of ears to enhance the final. Don’t hesitate to send it over. Between Nick & Drew, you’ll hear it in a new light when it heads back your way.

• Song Writing & Development - Connecting and collaborating as an artist is a sensitive process that is very important. We’ve found that the best relationships (and sound) are formed when the doorway of communication remains open. We are happy to help you bring life into the things you hear in your head!

• Individual tracks & backing tracks - Just need something for school? Maybe a try out? Maybe a test? Perhaps there’s a performance coming up and there are elements to your music that aren’t practical when it comes to re-creating it live, so you need something behind you. No problem.

• Compositions for Film - If you need music for a film, or even sound fx recorded to make something whole, we can check the catalogue. If we don’t find what you’re looking for, we’ll make it. We do as much visual work as we do audial, so we get the importance of how much music can make or break a scene.

• Compositions for Business - We have worked with businesses to make music from everything to simple interview to in-house trainings and continuing education. Even if it’s subtle, it makes a big difference. We’ve also worked with local organizations in making parodies or spin-offs of popular songs to celebrate something fun.

• Voice Over - Nothing is more important than clarity of voice. Words move nations and change the world. They also create narratives and illustrate information and experiences of all kinds. If you need a voice over done in the highest quality, then you’ve found the right place.

Why record with Station 8 Productions?

Before anything else, we were a recording studio. Magic has been made in the building since it was constructed in the late 70’s by one of the Blues musicians of Memphis, TN. The equipment we received from Scotty Moore after his passing is kept active today by it’s use in Station 8. As if Scotty wasn’t already enough of a legend, we have pictures of Paul McCartney using our microphones and mic stands. You can feel the energy that the space has helped reverb over the last decades of music. There are so many incredible musical artifacts & instruments that sometimes it feels like it’s worth presenting all by itself as a museum.

Even though all of that is neat, the truth is that what makes Station 8 Productions a studio that artists desire is the people that actually produce and engineer the music. Both Nick and Drew have written albums upon albums worth of material over the years with thousands of hours in the studio and behind the console, but more than that, they understand the soul behind music itself. They understand the intention and feelings behind what it means to preserve your music as a ‘snapshot’ in time. It’s passionate. It’s meaningful. And above all else, it’s yours.

There’s something about the studio that just feels right. It has that “Muscle Shoals” feel, but it’s unique in it and of itself.
